Read about everything that went on here in September, from new partnerships to SeatlabNFT events and major development updates.
September was one of our busiest ever months, with a successful appearance at NEARCON, the acquisition of new talent and a host of new partnerships announced.
Building a platform with the scope we envision for SeatlabNFT will always be a long-term project, but we're extremely excited to be onboarding our first clients now.
As we continue to add platform functionality to our app, we're getting busier and busier with events over the coming months. Here's a snapshot of where we've been, and where we're going…
The first half of September saw some of the core SeatlabNFT team attend NEARCON. The annual NEARCON conference took place over four days, where we showcased our NFT ticketing product to the community.
Alongside our co-founder, Jack Waterfield, appearing on the Ready Layer One podcast, we also hosted a VIP networking event to demonstrate our NFT ticketing technology.
The VIP networking event took place at the exclusive Secret Gardens by Ninho venue where we hosted DJs, food, cocktails and some great networking opportunities. You can see the full story and photos here.
Seatlab Sounds is an NFT-enabled series of freshers parties at universities across the country. Tickets for each of the seven events have been available as NFTs via our app; students could either purchase them, or enter a ticket lottery to be in with a chance of winning one for free.
Seatlab Sounds brings big-name artists to some of the biggest freshers events in the UK, with performances from Clean Bandit, LF System, R3WIRE, Hardy Caprio, Shane Codd and Karen Harding.
As part of our promotion for the series, we've had a team at freshers fairs around the country, educating the next generation of event-goers about the benefits of NFT ticketing.
Six out of the seven events have already taken place and were massively successful. The grand finale takes place on 13th October at Essex University and, once we wrap that up, we’ll be publishing a recap of the entire series with a tonne of great photos from each event so you can see how it went for yourself.
But we haven't finished yet! At the end of October, we're hosting an exclusive NFT-enabled side party for the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). ADE is a huge annual fixture in the electronic music scene’s calendar with over 1000 events and 2500 artists over five days.
The Bliss Office x SeatlabNFT side party on 22.10.22 sees huge DJs perform sets in an intimate venue, watched by some of the industry's biggest promoters. In addition, of course, NFT tickets will be exclusively available via our app. Look out for more details in the coming weeks.
Anybody watching the Nations League last week might have spotted a familiar sight. On Friday 23rd September, we sponsored the England vs Italy game, putting our ads pitchside at one of the most famous football stadiums in the world!
Of course, as a UK-based company, we’d rather not talk about the final scoreline 😳, but we were delighted to see our brand and logo broadcast worldwide to millions of people.
As we ramp up our operations to meet our roadmap targets, we're also continuing to onboard some incredible new talent. New to the team is Nikki Smith, taking up our Head of Operations role.
Nikki brings a host of event experience to our operation and has worked with some huge names in the industry, including Radio 1, Viacom and a multitude of international artists. We're really excited to have her as a part of the SeatlabNFT team.
The important part!
Developing the technology to fully explore the scope of our vision for a new, fairer ticketing system has been a journey of ups and downs, but we've enjoyed solving the problems we've faced along the way.
Still, we're always working to improve our functionality and add new features, so here's a selection of the most recent SeatlabNFT product updates.
As promised, we're always exploring pioneering ways SeatlabNFT can connect artists with their fans.
We've come a long way since our proof-of-concept launch at Lost Village only a couple of months ago. Since then, we've been refining the NFT membership card idea to bring our latest innovation to the live events landscape.
The Immersive Fan pass is a supercharged NFT loyalty programme, giving artists a platform to reward fan loyalty with digital NFTs, real-life experiences and exclusive souvenirs and merchandise.
For fans, the Immersive Fan Pass is an entirely new level of access to their favourite artists and performers. Using the traceability of these NFT fan passes, artists can reward the loyalty of their fans like never before.
The secondary marketplace is one of the core elements of SeatlabNFT, designed to provide fans with a platform to browse events and securely trade tickets on a peer-to-peer basis.
We'll also soon be adding the front-end seller dashboard with analytics, meaning we’ll be able to onboard new events even quicker in the future, accelerating our growth!
Next, we'll be adding a desktop checkout function and completing the secondary marketplace, giving fans even more flexibility in how they use SeatlabNFT.
We've recently released our platform's pioneering ticket lottery functionality. This feature allows event organisers to use a lottery system to improve engagement by letting people enter a lottery to win free tickets.
We're showcasing this feature on our Seatlab Sounds tour, so far with great success. We've given away scores of tickets, generating a lot of buzz and hype in the process, and had excellent feedback about the feature from users.
Building a Web3 platform in a bear market has been a tough undertaking. We've been carefully watching the markets to make sure the full launch of our native $SEAT token takes place at the right time.
We appreciate how patient our community has been in waiting for this, and their patience has finally paid off.
The full announcement is coming this Friday 7th October, so keep an eye out.
It's a hefty update for September, with plenty going on since the summer. Of course, we've been busy since we first envisioned SeatlabNFT, but the months of hard work behind the scenes are finally paying off.
We have had several launch events to refine our offering and are now onboarding clients. With our secondary NFT ticketing marketplace launching soon, we're proud to have a product that finally shows the community what they've been waiting for.
We'll continue to focus on developing a truly innovative platform packed with features that enhance the live events experience.
Thank you for your continued support in our journey to redefine live event ticketing.
All the best,
The SeatlabNFT Team
